View SolidWorks models in any browser
You can send a colleague a SOLIDWORKS® 3D CAD assembly and they can rotate it, section it and measure it in a browser tab, with no CAD seat and nothing to install.
If there is no 3D view yet
A view is not always generated on first upload, especially after a large import. Click Create View. Sibe converts the model to its own 3D format — around two minutes for a smaller assembly.
Move around the model

The Navigation Tips icon shows the same controls inside the viewer.
- Home resets to the default isometric view
- Orbit camera rotates around the model's center point; Free camera flies through it first-person
- Rotate about an axis aligns the view to an axis
Panels and tools
- Versions tree, top left — every Version and Revision, each with Download and Submit for Release
- Model objects tree — every instance of every document in the assembly. Isolate, Hide and Zoom to Fit on any component; sub-assemblies collapse; search by component name
- Measure — click two points for a linear measurement, three points for a diameter
- Model edges — toggle edge visibility
- Section view — pull the axis arrows to cut through the model
- Screenshot — saves to your browser's download location
Common questions
Does the viewer need SolidWorks installed?
No. It runs in a browser tab. That is the point of it.
Nothing loads when I open the file.
Click Create View. Conversion takes around two minutes on a smaller assembly.
Can I view an older version?
Yes. Pick it from the versions tree and the viewer loads it.
How do I measure a hole?
Click three points on it for a diameter. Two points give you a linear distance.
Does it work on a phone?
Yes. The viewer takes touch gestures, which is what makes QR codes on the shop floor useful.
