Sibe installation from a security perspective

What permissions are needed to install?
The Sibe install is no different from any other Windows program. Administrative permissions are required to install any software on Windows.
How does Sibe connect to SolidWorks?
Sibe connects as a SolidWorks add-in. The connection is created during installation. SolidWorks must be closed while Sibe installs.
What does Sibe install, and where?
Sibe installs only the files critical to running Sibe and the add-in. The location is shown during installation. You can change the destination folder, though the default suits most setups.
What data is sent to the Sibe cloud?
Sibe has access to the folder you specify when you set up the add-in. That covers SolidWorks files and your sign-in credentials. You can upload additional files through the Sibe web dashboard. Everything that reaches the Sibe cloud is uploaded by you.
Where is the data stored?
Sibe uses the Google platform for cloud storage.
How is the data stored?
Sibe uses a proprietary storage method. Each customer's data and files are completely separate from every other customer's.
