To get the add-in updates: download the latest add-in here or from the Web Dashboard.
1. Contributor and Viewer seats
Two new seat types are available on Business Plus and Enterprise plans.

Contributor seat
- Access: Web Dashboard only (no add-in)
- Permissions: view files, comment on 3D models and 2D drawings, take part in the approval workflow
- Pricing: $15/month per seat on annual plans, $18/month on monthly plans
- Storage: doesn't add to workspace storage
Viewer seat
- Access: Web Dashboard only (no add-in)
- Permissions: view files and markups, read-only
- Pricing: $5/month per seat on annual plans, $6/month on monthly plans
- Storage: doesn't add to workspace storage
Editor seat (renamed from Member)
- "Member" is now called "Editor"
- Editor pricing and permissions are unchanged
- Full add-in access and check-in/check-out rights
Enterprise plan
- All three seat types are available — Editor, Contributor, Viewer
- Seat pricing is custom
Public share links and QR codes
Public sharing is unchanged. Workspace Members and Owners can still generate public share links and QR codes via the Web Sharing Dialog — free, unlimited, no Sibe account required to view.
How to invite a Contributor or Viewer
Web Dashboard → Workspace Settings → Members → Invite. Select the seat type when sending the invite.
2. Advanced search with metadata filters
The search panel in the Web Dashboard now filters results by:
- File type — file or folder
- Workflow state — In Progress, Pending Approval, Released
- Check-out state — Checked-In or Checked-Out
- Custom properties — any custom property defined in your SolidWorks files (e.g. article number, material, ESD class, project code)

Custom properties appear automatically once Sibe indexes your SolidWorks files. No setup required.
3. DWG and DXF drawing support
DWG and DXF files now open in the Web Dashboard viewer.
- View permissions: Editors, Contributors, Viewers
- Markup permissions: Editors and Contributors can pin markups and reply to comments
- Public links: share links and QR codes also work for DWG and DXF

4. Add-in: edit warning for non-checked-out files
The add-in now shows a warning dialog when an engineer starts editing a file in SolidWorks that they haven't checked out. The warning appears before any changes are made.
To get this improvement, download the latest add-in from the Web Dashboard.

5. Add-in: per-folder caching policy
Workspace Owners (administrators) can now choose which top-level folders auto-cache locally on every engineer's machine in the workspace.
How to set it up:
- Open the Web Dashboard
- Go to Settings → Data Policy Caching Sync
- Select which top-level folders should auto-cache
- The policy applies to all add-in users in the workspace

6. Add-in: Get Latest, multi-select, and faster check-out
Three additional add-in improvements ship in this release:
- Get Latest for individual files — pull the latest version of a single file directly from the add-in, without refreshing the whole workspace.
- Multi-select operations — select multiple files in the add-in and run check-in, check-out, or Get Latest in one action.
- Faster check-in — operations are now up to 10x faster.
To get these improvements, download the latest add-in from the Web Dashboard or you can download it here.
