Sharing Tools
Sharing and Utility Features in the Sibe Web Dashboard
This guide will show you how to use the sharing functions for both Workspace Members and external collaborators using Visitor Access. You will also learn about the view settings, the Details area for file control, and how to quickly access support from the Sibe team.
Sharing Your Model View
Sibe provides two distinct ways to share a view of your CAD document from the Web Dashboard: with internal team members and with external visitors.
Sharing with Workspace Members
You can share a view of the Workspace with anyone who has already been invited as a Workspace Member.
- Click the Share tool icon.
- Enter the email of a team member who is already part of your Workspace.
- The system provides a direct hyperlink and a QR code for this view. Note that the view is static—it represents the model's state at the moment you share it. Recipients must be part of the Workspace to access it.

Enabling Visitor Access (External Sharing)
Visitor Access allows you to share a static view of a model with clients, partners, or other external parties who do not have a Sibe account or license.
- In the Share tool window, change the access setting to anyone with the link.
- This generates a static hyperlink and QR code that can be used in emails, reports, or other business systems.
- The link automatically enables the comments/markups on the model, but you can choose to turn off the comments if you do not want the visitor to see existing feedback.

Managing Your Visitor Link
The Visitor Access hyperlink is static and remains active as long as the setting is enabled. However, if you need to revoke or reset the link for security or privacy reasons:
- To disable the link, switch the setting back to workspace members only. This immediately makes the previous link permanently inactive.
- To generate a new link, change the setting back to anyone with the link. This creates a brand new, randomized hyperlink and QR code.
View Utilities and Settings
The Web Dashboard viewer includes essential utility features located in the upper right-hand corner.
Toggle Display Mode
You can quickly switch the user interface's color scheme to match your preference or working environment.
- Click the Settings icon in the upper right-hand corner.
- Toggle between Dark Mode and Light Mode.

Using the Details Area
The Details area provides deeper file control and information for Workspace Owners.
- Click the Details icon to open the panel.
- As a Workspace Owner, you can Lock and Unlock the file. (Locking a file prevents it from being edited or checked out).
- You can view the Where Used information to see all associated CAD documents.
- You can show or hide the entire Markups bar, which contains the visual annotations and comment history.

Getting Support
If you run into any issues or have questions, the Sibe team is ready to help.
- Click the Chat Help icon (often a question mark or speech bubble) in the view area.
- Use the Get Help option to message our team directly.
- Simply type your message, and our entire team is alerted. Someone will respond to you as soon as possible.

Tips & Troubleshooting
- The static hyperlink generated by Visitor Access works on any device with an internet connection, including Windows, Mac, iOS (iPhone/iPad), and Android, making it ideal for sharing views with anyone on any platform.
- The Visitor Access hyperlink is destroyed and replaced with a new one every time you switch the sharing setting from anyone with the link to workspace members only and back again.
- File control options like Lock and Unlock are restricted to Workspace Owners to ensure administrative control over critical files.
